Opinion for special care

The Commission shall deliver an opinion on special care.

The opinion shall be given to a child under 18 years of age (not including).

An opinion shall also be given to an adult with a certain disability group I if it requires 24 hours of monitoring and the person is unable to take care of himself.

Human's ability to take care of himself is appreciated by social workers. If the score is below 7 points, the person needs special care.

The opinion shall be delivered at the same time as the disability decision.

Opinion may also be requested following a disability decision. In such a case a new application must be submitted with a request for an opinion. Then a repeat expert-examination is performed.

The opinion gives the person the opportunity to receive social support from the State and the local government.
